About this vaporizer
The Cannabis Hardware FlowerPot B1 is a desktop ball vape with pure convection heating and AC operation that reaches temperatures up to 427°C. The heating system uses heated balls (Rubies) in a steel basket through which hot air is passed - this creates very dense, hot convection steam. The heating time is around 180 seconds.
The device is compatible with hookahs and supports dosing capsules. As an AC-powered desktop device, the B1 is not portable. Like the FlowerPot B2, the B1 is intended for experienced users looking for desktop ball vape performance and maximum efficiency.
The difference to the B2: The B1 works with pure convection, while the B2 offers hybrid heating. For users who prefer pure convection vapor quality in a ball vape format, the B1 is the more consistent choice.

Construction and how it works
The FlowerPot B1 uses stainless steel balls in a titanium head, which is heated by a PID-controlled heating coil. The hot air flows through the plant material into the bong below. Unlike the B2, the B1 uses a more compact design with a smaller head, ideal for moderate bowl sizes and efficient vaporization.

Temperature and vapour quality
With the PID controller, the temperature can be set with 1°C precision, typically between 180-230°C. The stainless steel balls store heat evenly and transfer it to the air in a controlled way. The result: dense, flavourful vapour from the very first draw. Bong filtration also cools and moistens the vapour.
B1 vs. B2 comparison
The B1 is the more compact variant in the FlowerPot system. Smaller head, less material needed, faster heat-up time. The B2, on the other hand, offers larger bowl sizes and heavier vapour production. For solo sessions and microdosing, the B1 is often the better choice. Both use the same heating element and controller system.
Accessories and setup
To use the B1, you need a 14mm or 18mm bong, the FlowerPot heating element and a PID controller. Cannabis Hardware offers various bundles. Spare parts such as screens, balls and seals are available individually. Cleaning is limited to occasionally soaking the glass parts in isopropanol.
B1 vs B2: The key differences
The FlowerPot B1 is the simplified version of the B2 and focuses exclusively on dry herbs. While the B2 offers an injector attachment for simultaneous use with concentrates, the B1 omits this function. This makes the setup more compact and operation simpler. The core physics remain identical: heated balls generate instant convection. For users who only want to vaporize herbs, the B1 offers the same vapour experience at a lower price and with fewer accessories to clean.
PID controller and temperature stability
Both FlowerPot models work with an external PID controller that drives the heating coil. PID stands for Proportional-Integral-Derivative and describes a control loop that compensates for temperature fluctuations in real time. The controller measures the current temperature at the heater head and continuously adjusts the power. During a strong draw that pulls heat from the balls, the controller immediately increases the power. The result is a temperature deviation of no more than two to three degrees — even during quick, consecutive draws.
Accessories and upgrades
There are various attachments from Cannabis Hardware for the FlowerPot B1. The standard head holds around 0.15g of herb material. A larger head (Bowl XL) is available separately and doubles the capacity for group sessions. For water filtration, thick-walled 18mm bongs are recommended — the FlowerPot sits directly on the joint. A titanium screen at the bottom of the head prevents material from falling into the bong.
