Fenix Mini+

The technical product page lists the Fenix Mini+ as a convection device. When drawing, heated air is passed through the material; the manufacturer does not indicate any additional conduction heating.

The compact format combines air heating with digital temperature control and a heat-up time of around 25 seconds. Draw speed and packing density continue to influence extraction.

The Mini+ weighs around 136 grams, making it a true lightweight that sits discreetly in the hand. This makes it the ideal travel or backup device: it fits in any pocket and barely draws attention on the go.

The trade-off for the small form factor is the small chamber, which holds around 0.15 grams of herb. That is enough for a solo session, but not much for multiple people or long rounds. Anyone wanting to share the Mini+ or run extended sessions will need to reload in between — this is where the larger sibling model Fenix Pro comes into its own. For solo use on the go, however, the small chamber is no disadvantage — it actually saves material.

The Fenix Mini+ offers full digital temperature control from 120 to 221 °C in one-degree increments. The low starting value of 120 °C is a genuine plus point: it allows you to start very flavour-focused and gently, something many larger devices with a higher lower limit do not permit. As a guide:

• 170–185 °C – flavour-focused, light vapour, lots of aroma
• 185–195 °C – balanced, good mix of flavour and vapour
• 195–210 °C – dense clouds, stronger effect

Those seeking flavour should start low and increase throughout the session. With more finely ground herb, it is worth choosing a temperature 5 to 10 °C lower. Thanks to the one-degree increments, you can hit your personal sweet spot precisely.

A discreet display on the Mini+ shows the temperature along with a timer, so you can keep an eye on your target temperature and the remaining session time. Despite the compact form factor, you don't have to guess which level the device is currently running at.

The haptic feedback is a practical touch: as soon as the set temperature has been reached, the device vibrates briefly. You don't need to stare at the display — the vibration tells you when you can draw. This prevents the most common beginner mistake: drawing too early and getting nothing but warm air instead of vapour.

The Fenix Mini+ is ready to use after around 25 seconds. For a compact convection device, the manufacturer's stated figure of around 25 seconds is a solid result. In practice, the exact time depends on the target temperature: at 180 °C it heats up faster than at 221 °C.

The brief vibration reliably signals the moment you can start. That way you don't waste any herb on a premature draw — especially with the small 0.15 g chamber, every fill counts.

The Mini+ houses a built-in 1,600 mAh lithium-polymer battery. This keeps the weight low and provides around 35 minutes of continuous use per charge — with the small chamber, that's enough for several solo sessions. Charging is via USB-C; a full charge takes approximately 85 minutes.

One clever little detail: you can check the battery level at any time with a brief button press — even when the device is switched off. That way you know before heading out whether there's enough charge left for on the go. The battery is not replaceable; anyone wanting to vape for longer can top it up via a power bank in the meantime. As a travel or backup device, the capacity is generally more than sufficient.

The Mini+'s mouthpiece sits at the top above the chamber and directs the vapour upwards. The key advantage over the old Fenix Mini is the removable mouthpiece screen: you can simply take the screen out for cleaning rather than poking around in a fixed channel. This keeps the airpath clear and the flavour clean.

If the screen becomes resin-coated over time, soak it in isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes, rinse it with water, and reinsert it. Replacement screens and replacement mouthpieces are available separately — a frequently sought wear part, as the screen will eventually need replacing with intensive use. A clean screen is the easiest way to maintain good draw resistance and flavour in the Mini+ over the long term.

Weecke does not list a water pipe adapter (WPA) for the Mini+ — neither on the product page nor in the manufacturer's accessory range. Whether a third-party adapter fits the mouthpiece is not stated by the manufacturer.

During extended sessions, the short vapour path of the compact housing warms up. Without water cooling, a lower temperature or a brief pause between draws helps; anyone wanting to vape through water on a regular basis should opt for a device for which the manufacturer lists an adapter.

Weecke does not list herb dosing capsules for the Mini+. Instead, a quartz capsule for concentrates is included in the box, which is placed inside the chamber.

Anyone wanting to quickly refill the small 0.15 g chamber on the go can prepare ground herb at home in a small dosing container and loosely load it on site — the manufacturer does not list a capsule system for herbs.

Operation is mechanical and requires no app:

1. Switching on: Press the power button several times in quick succession. The display wakes and shows the target temperature.
2. Loading the chamber: Remove the mouthpiece and loosely fill it with medium-fine ground herb (do not pack); for concentrates, insert the included quartz capsule.
3. Selecting the temperature: Use the buttons to set the desired temperature (120–221 °C).
4. Heating up: After around 25 seconds the device vibrates – the target temperature has now been reached.
5. Drawing: Inhale slowly and evenly. With the small chamber, shorter draws are sufficient.

You can check the battery level at any time with a brief press of a button. To switch off, press the power button several times again.

A few simple steps make all the difference with the Mini+:

• Grind: medium-fine and even. With finer herb, lower the temperature by 5–10 °C.
• Fill level: fill the small chamber loosely, do not pack – the airflow must be able to pass through.
• Temperature ramp: start low (around 170 °C) for full flavour, then increase to release the remaining active compounds.
• Take breaks: During consecutive draws the short vapour path warms up – brief pauses between draws keep the vapour more pleasant; Weecke does not mention a water pipe adapter for the Mini+.

Because the chamber is small, the Mini+ is particularly efficient: you need little material per session and still extract plenty of aroma at the right temperature.

Within the Fenix family, the Fenix Pro is the larger, more enduring sibling model. The two differ more fundamentally than the name might suggest:

• Heating principle: The Mini+ uses convection, while the Pro uses pure convection. Both models operate with convection according to the manufacturer's technical specifications; the Pro is larger and more long-lasting.
• Battery: 1,600 mAh in the Mini+ compared to 2,300 mAh in the Pro – significantly more runtime with the Pro.
• Temperature: The Mini+ starts as low as 120 °C, while the Pro only starts at 160 °C. For very low-temperature flavour experiments, the Mini+ offers greater scope.
• Size and chamber: The Mini+ is more compact with a smaller 0.15 g chamber; the Pro is larger and better suited to longer sessions.

Verdict: The Mini+ is the choice when stealth, pocket-sized form factor, and a low starting temperature are the top priorities. The Fenix Pro is the device for longer sessions, greater battery life, and the purest convection flavour.

Weecke grades the Fenix range from small to large. The Mini+ is the entry-level and stealth model; above it sit more feature-rich devices:

• Fenix Pro: pure convection, titanium chamber, ECA airpath, 2,300 mAh battery.
• Fenix NEO: full convection with titanium chamber, positioned one step up.
• Fenix 2 MAX: the flagship model with a removable titanium chamber and optional glass chamber.

The Mini+ occupies the niche of maximally compact devices: it brings the core Fenix virtues – digital temperature control and convection heating – into the smallest possible format. Anyone wanting more chamber volume, more battery, or pure convection moves up one step.

The Mini+ is low-maintenance but benefits from regular cleaning:

• After each session: Brush out the chamber with the included brush and remove loose residue while the device is still slightly warm.
• Weekly: Soak the removable mouthpiece screen and mouthpiece in isopropyl alcohol (min. 90%) for a few minutes, rinse with water, and leave to dry.
• If draw resistance increases: Check the screen and replace it if necessary.

Important: no water in the chamber – use only isopropyl alcohol or dry cleaning. Do not use sharp metal objects in the vapour path. For longer periods of storage, keep the battery at roughly half charge and away from excessive heat. Because the screen is removable, cleaning the Mini+ remains considerably easier than with the old Fenix Mini.

The Fenix Mini+ is the right choice if you are looking for the smallest, most discreet vaporizer possible for on the go and want a touch of convection flavour without sacrificing comfort features such as precise degree-by-degree temperature selection, the quartz capsule for concentrates, and a removable screen. The low starting temperature from 120 °C and the light weight make it a versatile travel and backup device.

It is less suited if you plan longer or shared sessions (in that case the larger Fenix Pro with its greater battery capacity and chamber volume is worth considering) or if you prefer pure convection. Anyone who can live with the small chamber and the non-removable battery gets with the Mini+ an affordable, well-equipped pocket device.
