About this vaporizer
The MagicStone Alchemy is a portable butane gas vaporizer with convection heating and a very short heat-up time of just 5 seconds up to 220°C. As a butane device, it does not require batteries or charging cables and is therefore particularly suitable for outdoor use. The convection heat of the burning gas ensures even extraction without direct contact between flame and herb.

How Portable and Ergonomic Is the Design?
The Alchemy is machined from a single block of soapstone and needs no electronics, battery or button. Unlike the Odyssey it has a removable, hand-turned acrylic mouthpiece fitted to the stone; the coin cover above the stainless steel basket carries a gemstone in one of three colours.
It is used like a pipe: lighter to the intake, draw, done. Nothing to switch on, nothing to charge – the stone stores hardly any heat, so every draw starts fresh.
What Are the Ideal Temperature Settings?
There is no temperature setting; the Alchemy has no electronics. The heat comes from a lighter at the intake, controlled through distance, angle and draw speed: flame further away and a faster draw for light, flavour-led vapour; closer and slower for dense draws.
The limit is combustion – too close and the material ignites. After a few sessions the technique sticks.
Vapour Quality
MagicStone describes the Alchemy as a direct-flame convection vaporizer: the flame never touches the material, it heats the air that is drawn through the stainless steel basket. The soapstone body stores hardly any heat, so every draw comes fresh from the flame – no preheating, no afterglow.
The removable acrylic mouthpiece lengthens the air path compared with the Odyssey and pulls off for cleaning. With the right technique the vapour is soft and full of flavour; stone and stainless steel add no taste of their own.
