About this vaporizer
The Tetra Mini is a compact butane-powered convection vaporizer that heats up to 220°C in about five seconds using a jet lighter. Dosing caps and WPA support are included so that you can insert prepared herb chambers into the mini and connect them directly to the bong or bubbler. The name reveals the claim: a small, pocket-sized butane device.
Like all butane devices without electronics, the exact temperature depends on the direction of the flame, the speed of the pull and the ambient temperature. The short heat-up time is a clear advantage over electric portables. Spare parts come directly from Tetra.
The Tetra Mini is an alternative to the DynaVap for users who prefer more chamber volume or an integrated WPA connection. As a pure butane device, it always remains independent of a socket or battery.

Convection Principle
Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporization at controlled temperatures releases over 95 % of the desired active compounds, whilst combustion by-products are largely avoided. Source: PubMed 16637053

Yes, when using a high-quality jet lighter correctly. The flame does not touch the material directly. Butane gas burns cleanly to CO2 and water.
The learning curve is steeper than with electric devices, but becomes intuitive after a few sessions. The variable flavour is part of the appeal for many users.
