Inside the TEMPEST 2 are zirconium oxide balls (also called ruby balls), which serve as thermal mass. When heated with a jet flame or an induction heater, they store energy and release it evenly into the air flowing through them – pure convection. What material is the TEMPEST 2 made from?

The body is light, extremely heat-resistant, and biologically inert. At vaporizer temperatures, titanium remains flavour-neutral.
