Pure Convection in the Mid-Range Segment
Convection means: hot air flows through the herb rather than heating it via a heated wall. The result is generally a flavour-cleaner vapour with fewer burnt notes. With many portable vaporizers, however, "convection" is interpreted loosely — the ceramic chamber of the 723 inevitably heats up during warm-up, and the herb along the walls does receive some conductive heat.
That said: airflow is the primary heating principle here, and you can taste the difference. Especially at lower temperatures (180–195 °C), the vapour tastes cleaner than pure conduction devices in the same price bracket. At 225 °C the difference diminishes, as the chamber walls then radiate more heat.
The drawback of pure convection: heat-up time. 30 to 40 seconds is noticeably longer than the 15–20 seconds that hybrid heaters such as the Boundless CFX require. Those in a hurry will notice this. Those who prioritise flavour will accept the wait.

OLED Display and Four Temperature Settings
The OLED display shows the current temperature — no guesswork as with devices that use LED colour coding. Four presets are available:
- 180 °C — Terpene-forward, light vapour, full flavour. Good for the start of a session.
- 195 °C — Balanced combination of flavour and vapour volume. The all-round setting.
- 210 °C — More vapour volume, flavour becomes slightly harsher. For the second half of a session.
- 225 °C — Maximum. Dense clouds, but aroma suffers. For the last draws or when vapour volume matters more than flavour.
What is missing: stepless temperature control. Devices such as the Arizer Solo 3 allow degree-precise adjustment. With the 723 you are limited to the four presets. For most users this is sufficient — but anyone who likes to vaporize at exactly 188 °C or 203 °C will feel restricted.
The session ends automatically after 5 minutes. This is standard in the category and is easily enough for 10–15 draws.
Glass Mouthpiece and Vapour Quality
The mouthpiece of the 723 is made from borosilicate glass — the same heat-resistant glass used in laboratory vessels and the Arizer stem. From a flavour perspective this is a clear advantage: glass is flavour-neutral and, unlike plastic or silicone, does not impart any taste of its own.
The mouthpiece is removable and easy to clean — soak in isopropanol, rinse through, done. Replacement mouthpieces are available in the TVape shop for a few euros.
One drawback: glass is fragile. Anyone using the 723 on the go should remove the mouthpiece during transport. A silicone sleeve or a carry case would be useful — neither is included with the device.
The combination of convection and a glass mouthpiece delivers a clean, aromatic vapour that tastes above average for this price bracket. Not at the level of a Tinymight 2 or Firewood 8 — but noticeably better than most conduction portables under 150 euros.
Battery and Everyday Usability
The built-in 2,300-mAh battery lasts for around 6–8 sessions of 5 minutes each — depending on the temperature setting. That is decent for a device of this size and sufficient for a day of normal use. Heavy users will get through the afternoon, but not necessarily the whole day.
Charging is via USB-C, which should be standard in 2026 but still is not the case with many vaporizers. Charging time is around 90 minutes. Pass-through charging works — you can use the 723 while it is plugged in. Handy when the battery is flat and you do not want to wait.
At 150 grams, the 723 is not a lightweight for a portable. For comparison: an XMAX V3 Pro weighs 96 g, an Arizer Air SE around 100 g. You will notice it in a trouser pocket. In a jacket pocket or bag, it is not an issue.
The battery is fixed — replacement is not intended. With normal use, the capacity should hold for 2–3 years before noticeably declining.
Water Pipe Adapter: Only for the 850
Utillian does not offer a water pipe adapter for the 723 — the only WPA in the accessories range belongs to the Utillian 850. Anyone who wants to cool the vapour through water is reliant on third-party adapters whose fit the manufacturer does not confirm.
Water filtration makes the vapour even cooler and more humid — a noticeable improvement, particularly at the higher temperature settings (210–225 °C). The convection heating of the 723 lends itself well to this, because the draw resistance through water is higher and convection devices benefit from that: more air through the chamber means more vapour production.
Without an official adapter, use with a water pipe remains a trial at your own risk — not all third-party WPAs fit the mouthpiece thread of the 723.
