Puffco Plus

The Plus offers three voltage-based temperature levels, shown by an LED colour in the mouthpiece:

Puffco does not provide exact temperature figures in °C for the Plus — the chamber is voltage-controlled, not temperature-regulated. This is a key difference from the Pivot, which has real-time temperature control.

Sesh Mode is the second operating mode: a long button press activates a continuous 12-second heating cycle. This is useful if you want a complete session without pressing repeatedly. At the end of the cycle, the device vibrates briefly.

The Puffco Plus has a fixed built-in battery with 520 mAh. According to the manufacturer, this is enough for 6 to 9 sessions per charge, depending on the selected temperature level and session duration.

Charging is via Micro-USB — not USB-C. This is a noticeable difference compared with the Pivot, which uses USB-C. Anyone using modern accessories will need a separate cable. Charging time is 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the remaining charge.

Passthrough operation (vaping while charging) is not provided. The capacity is appropriate for an entry-level device — anyone doing several sessions daily should charge the battery in the evening.

The housing of the Plus is made from aluminium. The device is light and slim — a typical dab pen format. Despite the affordable entry price, the finish appears neatly made.

Operation is exclusively via a single button. Press briefly five times: on/off. Press briefly once while switched on: change temperature level (Blue → Green → White → Blue). Press and hold: activate Sesh Mode. There is no app, Bluetooth or display.

The most striking feature compared with other pens is the integrated Dart tool. It sits in the mouthpiece and can be pulled out. You use it to pick up concentrate and load the chamber — without a separate dab tool. In everyday use, this is more practical than it sounds, especially on the go.

The ceramic chamber can be removed in seconds. Cotton buds plus isopropyl alcohol (90 %+) are enough for regular care. After 5 to 10 sessions, you should briefly wipe out the chamber — otherwise wax residue burns and leaves deposits that impair the flavour.

Because there are no coils or wicks installed, there are no parts that are destroyed by overheating. The ceramic withstands significantly more cleaning cycles than typical coil pens. Even so, the chamber is a consumable part: after a few weeks to months — depending on use — performance decreases and replacing the chamber is worthwhile.

Also occasionally clean the Dart tool and the air channel with a cotton bud. Soaking the mouthpiece in isopropyl alcohol is also possible.

No separate dab tool needed — the Dart tool takes over this task. There is no official adapter for water filtration; the Plus is not intended for use with a water piece.

The Puffco Plus is aimed at beginners in the concentrate world and at users looking for a simple, portable dab pen for use on the go. Operation is minimal: one button, three levels, done. The integrated Dart tool makes it more suitable for everyday use than most competitors.

It is less suitable for experienced users who value precise temperature control — the voltage-based control offers no real-time regulation. Anyone who prefers larger dab sessions will run up against the limits of the small chamber capacity and the 520-mAh battery.

The Plus is not suitable for dry herbs. It works exclusively with concentrates: wax, shatter, rosin, live resin and similar products. Anyone who wants to vaporize dry herb should look at other brands.
