Puffco Plus

Puffco has released the Plus three times, always under the same name:

• Plus (2016) – “Puffco+”, the first “pocket nail”. List price 119.99 US dollars, with a second chamber in the box. The spec sheet lists a plated brass body measuring 14 × 131 mm.
• Plus V2 (2019) – precision-machined alloy body with fingerprint-resistant coating, redesigned Dart with silicone top, LED light band with haptic feedback, 89.99 US dollars. A limited “Vision Plus” edition came in an iridescent finish. Details: Puffco Plus V2.
• New Plus (October 2023) – chamber with grip ring, new Dart, Onyx and Pearl, 89 US dollars. Puffco states the parts are interchangeable with older Plus generations; Pro parts do not fit.

The Plus chamber is not a 3D Chamber: it heats over a ceramic surface without a temperature sensor, while Pivot, Peak and Proxy use the 3D Chamber with real-time temperature control.

According to Puffco the chamber is made entirely of ceramic – no heating coil, glue or fibers. The concentrate sits directly on the ceramic floor and vaporizes by conduction; the air path is free of plastics and adhesives. Puffco recommends loads of 0.2 to 0.3 g, advises against filling above the air holes and warns against heating an empty chamber.

The Dart sits inside the mouthpiece: pressing the silicone top extends a ceramic tip you use to scoop concentrate. Back in the chamber the Dart acts as splash guard and carb cap. On the New Plus a grip ring surrounds the chamber so your fingers stay cool while it heats. The chamber is a wear part with a one-month warranty; Puffco sells it separately as the “Plus Chamber”.

The chamber has a 510 thread, but Puffco explicitly advises against using it on other batteries – it needs more power than typical 510 batteries deliver. The other way round works: the Plus battery runs 510 cartridges.

Four clicks cycle the setting: Blue (low), Green (medium), White (high). That is what the 2024 manual and the last product page say; the current support page swaps Blue and Green – we follow the manual. Puffco publishes no temperatures or voltages for the Plus. A TVape review quotes older manufacturer figures of about 580, 650 and 720 °F (304, 343 and 382 °C) – the same values Puffco lists for the Pro 2, so we do not treat them as a Plus specification.

For a normal draw you hold the button; the pen shuts off after 8 seconds. Sesh Mode heats for 12 seconds after two clicks without holding the button – for sharing or a full draw; one more click stops it. Puffco advises not to heat more than four times in a row and to give the chamber about one second before you inhale.

The built-in battery has 520 mAh – in all three generations. Puffco quotes two runtime figures: “around 15 dabs” on the product page and an average of 30 Sesh cycles on the highest setting in its support article. TVape’s test got 6 to 9 sessions with rice-grain loads. The white setting and Sesh Mode draw the most power; when the LED flashes ten times, the battery is empty.

Charging does not happen through a port on the pen: you unscrew the battery from the chamber and screw it onto the included USB Supercharger (510 thread, USB-A plug). Red means charging, green means full. The 2024 manual quotes about 45 minutes, the spec sheet about 35. Vaping while charging is therefore impossible, and there is no USB-C – the most common criticism of the Plus in reviews.

One button, four commands: five clicks lock or unlock the pen, four clicks change the heat setting, two clicks start Sesh Mode, holding heats manually. To load, unscrew the mouthpiece, push the Dart out, scoop concentrate and screw the mouthpiece – held by its sides – back onto the chamber. Keep the pen upright, otherwise the concentrate runs out of the chamber.

Long, slow draws give the best results according to the manual. There is no app, Bluetooth or display – on the Plus that is by design; it is the simplest device in the Puffco range. Heating the chamber more than four times in a row risks damage, Puffco warns.

After each session wipe the still-warm chamber with a cotton swab. Clean the gold-plated contacts on battery and chamber with a swab soaked in 90 %+ isopropyl alcohol – dirty contacts are, according to Puffco, the most common reason a pen will not heat or charge. Mouthpiece, Dart and chamber can be soaked separately in isopropyl alcohol for 15 to 30 minutes and must dry completely afterwards.

The chamber does not last forever: Greencamp quotes one to three months depending on use before performance drops. Puffco still sells replacement chambers. If concentrate has run into the battery, a swab with isopropyl alcohol helps – Puffco treats that as user error, not a defect.

According to Puffco the New Plus box contains: mouthpiece, Dart, chamber with grip ring, 510 battery, Plus Supercharger and cotton swabs. The 2016 generation shipped with an extra chamber, the Vision Plus with two colored grips.

As spare parts Puffco still lists the Plus Mouthpiece with Dart (Onyx or Pearl), the Plus Chamber (Onyx) and the Plus Supercharger. All three carry the “New Plus” tag in the shop and, per Puffco, also fit the earlier generations. There is no official water adapter for the Plus, and the chamber is not meant for other batteries.

Puffco gives one year of warranty on battery and charger and one month on the chamber. Excluded are wear, accidents, opened devices, third-party accessories and purchases from unauthorized sellers – Puffco explicitly names Amazon, eBay and Walmart.com. To claim you need proof of purchase and an RMA number from support; you send in only the affected part, cleaned.

Puffco keeps the support page with instructions, video and manual PDF online, as well as the warranty articles in its help center (as of August 2026). Anyone buying a Plus in 2026 buys remaining stock with full support – but no prospect of another generation.

The Plus is aimed at beginners who want to use concentrates on the go without a rig and without an app: one button, three settings, Dart instead of a tool. Daily users will feel the small chamber and the 520 mAh battery.

Within the brand Puffco positions the Pivot as the successor – with 3D Chamber, real-time temperature control, USB-C, four settings and haptic feedback; the last Plus product page literally said “Interested in the Plus? You’ll love the Pivot.” The older Plus V2 is technically almost identical and still shows up at retailers; the Pro 2 is a coil pen from 2017 and only found as leftover stock.
