Tinymight 2

The manufacturer describes the heater as a “stainless steel convection heater" with what it claims is the largest surface area of any vaporizer heating element. The idea is that a large surface needs to be less hot to heat the same volume of air – which is intended to preserve purer flavour. The coil is a wound metal structure that has been housed in three designs over the years of production: in a glass tube, in a metal tube and – since the Purple Heart batch – in zirconia ceramic with support rods twice as strong.

There is no heated chamber wall. The manual draws the crucial conclusion from this: “The Tinymight 2 is a full convection device. This means that to be effective the inhalation must be a bit longer, as the herb needs some airflow to get up to the right temperature." Three characteristics follow from this, confirmed by every review:

• Nothing cooks between draws. In On-Demand mode, it only heats while the button is held – the last bowlful tastes like the first.
• The draw determines performance. Short, hurried draws produce little; long, steady draws produce a density that several reviewers compare with desktop devices.
• The chamber stays clean, but the cooling unit does not. With no contact heat, the chamber hardly accumulates resin, but vapour deposits build up in the cooling unit.

The heater is audible: the manufacturer attributes the quiet hum to the low mass of the element and the rapid pulsing of the power supply. It is noticeable in a quiet room, but not in everyday use. The manufacturer does not state a wattage on its current pages; older information and most reviews quote around 70 W, while one retailer states 75 W.

The manufacturer advertises “quick heat up from 3 seconds" and quotes 2–5 seconds in its comparison table, depending on the level. The reviews measure somewhat more conservatively and explain the variation:

• Level 4–6: 4–5 s (Planet of the Vapes, timed several times), 3–5 s (Vapefully, Herbvape), “ready in single-digit seconds" (420 VapeZone)
• Level 8 and above: around 10 s (Planet of the Vapes, Fat Nugs)
• Beast Mode (level 10): around 10 s in the German video review
• Subsequent draws in Session mode: around 2 s because the heater is already at temperature
• Weak cell: 8–10 s – Vapefully attributes this to the falling voltage, not the device

For comparison within the same price bracket, the Venty takes around 20 seconds and the Mighty+ approximately one minute. Only butane devices such as the DynaVap are similarly fast – and according to Vapefully, these provide “similarly fast extraction, but not the same vapour volume".

Instead of a display, the Tinymight 2 has an analogue dial on the bottom with levels from 0 to 10; intermediate positions are possible, and the manufacturer refers to “around 20 settings". The manual (Appendix 1) assigns the following factory temperatures to the levels:

Why is 120–240 °C stated elsewhere? Because the manufacturer's FAQ page and some retailers quote this range – the text clearly dates from the first Tinymight era (it still mentions Micro-USB and oak). The manual and product page are the more recent documents, which is why we use 140–250 °C. Both figures make sense once you know that the entire range can be shifted by up to three levels: Appendix 2 of the manual describes the calibration process (open and close the battery cap, set the dial to 0 and click three times, repeat four times, set the dial to 6 and click three times, then use the dial to choose the range – 0 blue = lowest, 6 green = standard, 10 white = highest – and hold the button for around five seconds). Anyone wanting level 7 to provide what level 10 previously did should select +3. When switching on, the colour of the selected range flashes briefly.

The price of this system is that there is no degree-accurate display. Two reviewers call it “dial-and-pray", while one German video review considers it a genuine drawback for medical patients who need reproducible dosing. Anyone requiring that is better served by the Arizer Solo 3 or Venty.

The Tinymight 2 has exactly one button. Everything is controlled through click sequences and vibration patterns – two reviewers compare the first few days to using Morse code, after which it becomes second nature. The combinations according to the manual:

Battery indicator: green and four vibrations = full, blue and three = good, purple and two = charge soon, red and one = empty. Newer devices also show the colour on the rear and through the multitool holes at the front. One tip from the manual that is regularly absent from forums: if the vibration suddenly stops, silent mode has been activated accidentally – opening and closing the battery cap resets it.

The multitool attaches magnetically to the top of the device: for stirring, emptying and, when reversed, lightly tamping – and it has a recess that allows the temperature dial to be turned without using a fingernail.

On-Demand heats only while the button is pressed: hold the button, wait for the vibration, draw and release. Nothing happens between draws – so a bowlful lasts longer and the flavour remains consistent until the final draw. This is the mode for which most reviewers buy the Tinymight 2: “true on-demand, 3 seconds vs 20" for the Venty, as Herbvape summarises it.

Session maintains the temperature until the device is switched off and allows a Boost at the press of a button. A forum user describes the trick: level 7, then allow it to preheat for around 15 seconds after the vibration before drawing. Because heat is applied continuously in Session mode, many users turn it down by one or two levels according to the manufacturer's guide, keeping the draw comfortable over several minutes. Two points about Session mode are important because reviews report them incorrectly:

• The Classic model has no fixed Session timer. TVape states “three minutes", while Planet of the Vapes and Herbvape report Sessions lasting well over ten minutes; Vapefully confirms there is no automatic shut-off. Only the black editions (Black Line) have a shut-off timer – without the manufacturer specifying the number of minutes.
• Session conserves the battery: one forum user gets “at least one additional bowlful" compared with On-Demand operation because the heater does not repeatedly start from cold. The German video review measures around four bowlfuls On-Demand and five in Session mode at level 6–7.

Beast Mode is level 10: the LEDs turn white instead of coloured, and the device provides considerably more heat than level 9 – according to the manufacturer, it is available only in On-Demand mode and intended for concentrates. Almost all reviewers advise against using it with flower (“keep away from ten"), although one forum user uses it for hash. Boost in On-Demand is only available on the Black Line: release briefly after the vibration and immediately hold again; a double vibration confirms the higher level.

The most common reason for disappointment during the first week is not the device, but the draw. The manual says so itself: inhalation must be longer because the airflow first has to bring the material up to temperature. Reviewers provide specific guidance:

• Draw length: around 5 seconds at a light to medium pace (Planet of the Vapes), 8–10 seconds (Vapefully), up to 15 seconds with a deliberately slow draw in the German video review – “almost unbelievable density"
• No mouth-to-lung: “you will not get far with MTL draws on this device" – the heater can keep pace with any draw speed, but it needs airflow
• Herbvape's rule of thumb: thin and light – keep drawing; thick and warm – release
• Stirring: because air flows through the material from above, the centre becomes darker than the edge. Stir once or twice per bowlful, more often with a large chamber

Herbvape documented the steepness of the learning curve over four weeks: in week one, seven of around fifty bowlfuls combusted – one in seven – while none did by week four. This matches the forums: combustion almost always occurs at level 9 or higher with very dry material or an excessively hard draw. Anyone buying the Tinymight 2 should allow for this 10–15 per cent wastage during the first week.

There is unanimous agreement about vapour volume: “vapor density that rivals desktop ball vapes" (VapeExperts), “hit like a truck" with a hard draw (Planet of the Vapes), “like using a bong … two or three draws" in the German video review. VapeExperts and 420 VapeZone completely extract a 0.15 g bowlful in two to three long draws; moving the cooling unit farther back provides eight to ten draws in Session mode before stirring is required.

For flavour, Herbvape places the Tinymight 2 “ahead of every other portable", while 420 VapeZone describes it compared with the Frolic as “more terpene-rich, almost painfully terpene-rich". The vapour path touches only stainless steel and quartz glass, without adhesives or insulating material – that is how the manufacturer describes it, and no review disagrees.

Opinions differ on vapour temperature, and both sides are correct: Troy & Jerry find the vapour “cool at all temperatures", while Vapefully and TVape call it “quite hot" from level 7 and towards the end of a Session – the short mouthpieces do not provide enough cooling there. Draw resistance itself is low – “the airflow is fantastic", according to one German video review – although the air path feels narrower compared with the wide-open Frolic. German users describe the Tinymight 2 as “harsher, scratchier" than the Venty or Mighty+ and recommend a water filter or the long stem with glass beads. The casing also becomes warm: the aluminium bottom plate serves as a heat sink during charging and conducts heat during operation – “never uncomfortable or unsafe", as Vapefully describes the Black Edition, but noticeable.

The chamber has no fixed size. The cooling unit sits inside the glass tube and can be repositioned using the multitool – creating the space for the material. The manual expressly identifies this as a feature for microdosing and macrodosing.

• Typical: 0.12–0.15 g (Troy & Jerry, VapeExperts, 420 VapeZone); Herbvape gives 0.05–0.2 g as the everyday range
• Maximum: around 0.3 g with the cooling unit pushed all the way back (Planet of the Vapes, Vapospy); the Black Edition allows more using the funnel
• Microdosing: “completely effective with quantities of 0.1 g and slightly less", provided the screen is covered – the manufacturer confirms that the device works with the smallest quantities

It is filled upside down: turn the device over, remove the tube, place material on the screen and reinsert the tube upside down – do not pack it tightly, at most tamp it lightly once. On the move, this is “not a clean affair" according to the German video review – one reason why many users employ dosing capsules. These keep the device clean but cost a little convection performance; one forum user describes a slight conduction effect and faster consumption of the bowlful. No capsules are included as standard, which one German reviewer considers a shortcoming at EUR 350. Important: the manufacturer warns against third-party capsules whose screen can fall onto the heater and short-circuit it.

The Tinymight 2 takes a single 18650 cell, with the positive terminal towards the cap. It currently includes a Molicel P30B (according to the cell manufacturer, nominally 3.0 Ah with 36 A continuous discharge); older batches came with the P28A (2,800 mAh) or P26A. The manufacturer itself does not state a mAh figure – it names cells.

Five bowlfuls is little compared with the eleven to fourteen of a Venty or Mighty+ – VapeExperts lists this as the main disadvantage, while Troy & Jerry call it “Eats Batteries". Users' answer is the replaceable battery: two to three cells in rotation, a replacement battery with an external charging cradle costs EUR 19.90 from the manufacturer, and changing it takes ten seconds. Slow external charging (0.5–1 A) preserves the cells; internally, the device charges at up to 2 A and only begins a new charging cycle once the voltage has fallen – an almost full battery “does not charge", and that is normal.

Charging during use is not supported. The manufacturer does not mention pass-through anywhere, Vapefully explicitly lists “Use While Charging: no" in its specification table, as do two German retailers. Until recently, this page also stated the opposite.

The heater briefly draws around 20 A from a single cell – the German video review calculates it: around 75 W at 3.7 V. Cell selection is therefore not a matter of taste:

• Permitted according to the manufacturer: Molicel P26A, P28A, P30B – high-drain 18650 cells with at least 20 A continuous discharge; forums additionally mention Sony VTC6, LG HG2 and Samsung 30Q
• Unsuitable: cells with 3,500 mAh and 10 A, protected cells with protection circuitry, “high drain" offers without a brand name – “there are an enormous number of counterfeits in this market"
• Symptom of a weak cell: lacklustre vapour and a longer heat-up time, which Herbvape describes as a commonly misdiagnosed “heater fault"
• Polarity: positive terminal towards the cap – one forum user inserted the cell the wrong way round and damaged the circuit board (repair around 80 dollars)
• Transport: never carry cells loose in a pocket – contact with keys or coins can cause a short circuit

Molicel cell notice: Tinymight lists a P26A, P28A or P30B as the battery supplied with the device. Molicel’s P28A datasheet prohibits use and sale for vaporizers and e-cigarettes; its P30B datasheet says that cell was not designed or produced for vape or e-cigarette devices. The device and cell makers thus give conflicting guidance on vaporizer use.

Authenticity: since February 2022, every device has carried a serial number and security code on the bottom plate. On widespread counterfeits, the battery is fitted the opposite way round: the original has a “+" inside the battery cap, while counterfeits have a “−".

The cooling unit consists of two stainless-steel cylinders filled with nuts and washers – a heat exchanger made from hardware-store components, as Troy & Jerry describe it (“some will find it cheap"). It works until several bowlfuls are consumed back to back, at which point it reaches its limit. Its greatest disadvantage is maintenance: 420 VapeZone cleans it “after every second battery charge, around every five bowlfuls", VapeExperts sees resin “every 4–5 Sessions", and one German forum user describes it as “so clogged that nothing passes through". Herbvape manages an interval of 15–20 bowlfuls – the variation depends on the material and temperature.

Stems: the glass tube measures 16 mm externally and 12 mm internally with a wall thickness of 2 mm; the standard package includes a 55-mm glass tube and, depending on the store, an 80-mm titanium stem or a short stem with glass beads. All reviews agree that glass is a consumable component – “budget for spares", as thermal shock and drops break it. The titanium stem is more durable, but becomes hot after three to four long draws and is too long for many users; TVape identifies a slight cooling advantage, while a German video review says only “a very subtle nuance” separates glass and titanium in flavour. The Black Line instead includes an 80-mm zirconia tube, which the manufacturer describes as significantly more resistant to breakage.

Accessories recommended by reviewers: two to three replacement glass tubes, the 3-in-1 adapter for 10/14/18-mm glass (according to the manufacturer, “highly recommended for Beast Mode"), an 18-mm water-pipe adapter and a hard travel case. Community suggestions include the long stem with glass beads (provides substantial cooling, takes two days to dry) and homemade bead fillings between two basket screens. According to the manufacturer, the new one-piece stainless-steel cooling unit v2 only fits zirconia, stainless-steel and titanium stems – not the standard glass tubes.

The manufacturer's routine, supplemented by reviewers' experiences:

1. Allow to cool and empty. Use the multitool, not your fingers.
2. Clean the glass tube in hot water with washing-up liquid or soak it in isopropyl alcohol (91 % or more).
3. Unscrew the front ring, unscrew the tube holder and remove the red O-ring and metal insert.
4. Place the stainless-steel parts (cooling unit, insert, screens) in isopropyl alcohol, shake, rinse and dry.
5. Never place O-rings in solvent – only wipe them with a damp cloth, as alcohol makes them brittle. The cooling unit uses two sizes (around 10 and 11 mm); fitting two small rings allows it to slide out too easily.
6. Inspect the screens, replace if necessary and reassemble.

Intervals: every two weeks for occasional users and weekly for frequent users (manufacturer); the cooling unit is the bottleneck – review intervals range from every five to every twenty bowlfuls. The chamber itself remains largely clean thanks to convection; Herbvape awards cleaning 9 out of 10 and calculates that the glass tube collects 90 per cent of the residue. Never get the walnut wood wet; isopropyl alcohol attacks the finish and raises the grain. For maintenance, the manufacturer recommends beeswax (10 ml, EUR 5.90), while the cap thread benefits from a little oil occasionally.

The standard model is made from American walnut, which according to the manufacturer is worked by a carpenter in Helsinki – walnut insulates better than the oak used for the first Tinymight and stays cooler. Other materials include glass-bead-blasted, anodised aluminium (two small contact marks in the anodising are normal), stainless steel and quartz glass; the vapour path does not touch the wood. The metal components are cleaned in an ultrasonic bath before assembly. Reviewers call the device “pleasant to hold", while VapeExperts says it is “solid without any creaking or flex"; one German video review considers the wood “on an entirely different level" from its predecessor.

Dimensions and weight according to the manufacturer: 88 × 61 × 37 mm and 186 g without the tube, 110 mm and 207 g with the 55-mm glass tube, 135 mm and 211 g with the 80-mm tube. German reviewers weighing it with the cell and glass tube obtain around 230 g. For comparison, the Solo 3 weighs 291 g and the Venty 252 g. This makes the Tinymight 2 “suitable for a jacket pocket", although its wooden-cylinder shape resembles a pepper mill more than a mobile phone.

The downside of the materials is drops. Troy & Jerry: “not as drop-friendly as it looks"; Vapefully: “wood and aluminium are not armour"; one German forum user switched to the Frolic because he was “constantly afraid of dropping it". The internal glass lining is the component most likely to break in a fall – more on this in the next section. The manufacturer also points out that every wooden casing differs in colour and grain, and that the appearance of the wood is not covered by the warranty.

The Tinymight 2 has been produced with “rolling upgrades" since 2022 – there is no Tinymight 3, but there have been several silent revisions. What buyers should know:

• Button (devices from before 19 January 2024): a manufacturing defect caused intermittent failures; the SMD switch sheared off under lateral pressure. The manufacturer initially responded with a spot of adhesive, then with a new switch featuring pins and a stop, and in 2025 with a modular kit. Current devices are “solid" according to Herbvape, but the reputation persists. Forum tip: press the button straight down rather than “rolling” over it with the little finger.
• Internal glass lining: two glass tubes are fitted inside the device; the upper one usually breaks when dropped. A replacement costs EUR 5.90 (glass) or EUR 19.90 (stainless-steel lining as a more robust alternative); replacing it yourself requires a Torx T20 and, if necessary, half an hour in the oven at 85 °C – doing it incorrectly voids the warranty. One German user found several cracks after months and returned the device.
• Purple Heart batch (2024): heater in zirconia ceramic instead of quartz glass, support rods twice as strong, stainless-steel lining above the heater, new button. Forums report that Purple Heart runs hotter and the range should be calibrated down by two levels; the wood initially smells and may cause sensitisation.
• Black Line (2026): one-piece stainless-steel cooling unit v2 without O-rings, zirconia stem, double screen, stainless-steel funnel in the cap, Boost also in On-Demand, Session shut-off timer, Molicel P30B, packaging used as a travel case.
• Other fault patterns from the FAQ: freely spinning dial (potentiometer solder joint, return required), battery spring flattened after a fall, vibration-motor contact, cap thread – occasionally it helps to scrape the battery-cap contact point clean.

A warning belongs here because it repeatedly appears in forums: the procedure known from the Tinymight 1 era of loosening the end plates and renewing the contacts permanently destroys the Tinymight 2. The large screw on the bottom is not intended for opening the device.

All information according to the manufacturer's store (European shop including VAT and shipping, as of August 2026):

In the standard package: device, 55-mm glass tube, cooling unit, one Molicel cell, spare-parts set with O-rings and screens, USB-C cable, pouch, a bag of glass beads – and, depending on the store, a titanium stem (US) or a short stem with beads (EU). Water-pipe adapters and dosing capsules are not included, although some retailers add them to their own packages. Street prices in Germany range from around EUR 329 to EUR 399; in the past, the standard model has been available for EUR 279 to EUR 315 on Black Friday. The Black Line is produced in batches and is temporarily sold out at times – in which case it “may take several weeks".

Since 2024, the manufacturer has provided a three-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship – previously it was ten years, which older reviews still mention. The conditions are unusual and crucial when buying second-hand:

• The warranty only applies if the device is registered within one year of delivery – otherwise it expires.
• It is tied to the original owner and is not transferable.
• The battery, charging cable, glass tubes, screens, dosing capsules, pouch and O-rings are excluded.
• A fault must be reported within two months, with video documentation; the manufacturer pays shipping both ways during the first 30 days, after which the customer pays. The manufacturer reserves the right to charge EUR 80 for unjustified cases.

Outside the warranty, the manufacturer carries out repairs for EUR 99 (EUR 79 including shipping and parts), even after drops. One German user describes the process: EUR 78 including a DHL Express label to Finland, with the refurbished device returned after twelve days. An RMA from the US takes three weeks; US retailers such as VGoodiez handle smaller cases within one day. TVape criticises the fact that the warranty is processed “exclusively from Finland" – requiring proof of purchase, videos and shipping logistics.

Direct orders from the manufacturer are sent by DHL Express or UPS with a signature required; customs duties and import taxes are prepaid for every country. Shipping of devices from the EU store has been free since July 2026. Returns within 14 days are accepted only if unused, with return postage paid by the customer.

Tinymight is produced by JTJS Products Oy (EU store: JTJS Europe Oy) in Helsinki. The manufacturer does not name any founders or designers, and there is no “About us" page – claims about a particular individual, including those previously made here, cannot be substantiated. What is documented is that, according to the manufacturer, every device is handmade in Finland and its electronics are assembled by a company certified for medical technology; the Tinymight 2 bears the Finnish “Key Flag" mark of origin. The first Tinymight appeared in 2019, followed by the Tinymight 2 in 2022 after more than 18 months of development.

What the Tinymight 2 changed compared with the original (manufacturer and reviews):

• slightly larger – better thermal insulation, sturdier construction and more room for the electronics; no more wood beneath the heater, replaced by a heat distributor
• USB-C instead of Micro-USB, battery indication through colour and vibration, 2.5 times lower standby consumption, doubled current paths for greater performance
• battery cap with a grippy surface (the old one required a coin), cell inserted the opposite way round
• magnetic multitool on top of the device
• Beast Mode in On-Demand, Stealth and Travel modes
• less warmth in the hand and, according to the German video review, the “brown ring" of unevenly cooked bowlfuls is “reduced by 90 per cent"

Troy & Jerry summarise it as follows: “The 2 feels like it can keep up with stronger draws better" – for 80 dollars more than the original. For anyone seeking its predecessor: Tinymight 1 price comparison.

Reviews almost always compare the Tinymight 2 with the same devices. The key findings, each with its source:

• Storz & Bickel Mighty+: “Many have considered it the ‚Mighty Killer‘ … I’m not sure I would reach that far" (Planet of the Vapes). The Mighty+ is simpler, more consistent, provides eleven Sessions per charge and requires no stirring; the Tinymight 2 heats in 5 rather than 60 seconds, is more pocketable and rewards fine-tuning. Herbvape: “Land Rover Defender versus Ducati Superbike". One German video review puts it this way: “The Tinymight 2 wants to be loved; the Mighty+ loves being used." View the comparison.
• Storz & Bickel Venty: best airflow of any portable, 12–14 Sessions, app, 20-second heat-up time – “best choice for most users" (Planet of the Vapes). The Tinymight 2 wins on flavour, extraction speed and On-Demand operation; the Venty wins with a bong because its air path is more open. For medical users, one UK retailer cites the Tinymight's need for stirring as the crucial disadvantage for a dosing routine. Venty vs Tinymight 2 vs Frolic.
• Arizer Solo 3: 18 rather than 8 Sessions, degree-accurate, 291 g, not pocketable, around EUR 100 cheaper; Herbvape even rates it slightly higher. German advice: “Definitely recommend the Solo 3 to beginners", with the Tinymight 2 only for heavy users and bong users. Tinymight 2 vs Solo 3.
• Limelight Frolic: greater airflow (25 l/min according to Herbvape), more robust, twelve rather than four bowlfuls; the Tinymight 2 is “more terpene-rich" and tastes better at low temperatures. Several German users switched to the Frolic in 2026 – because of concerns about drops and the battery.
• Norddampf Relict: simpler, more even, better value for money – one German reviewer would “start with the Relict" and use the Tinymight 2 as a supplement; another calls the Relict a “workhorse" and the Tinymight a “sports machine with high maintenance requirements".
• Arizer Go SRT (2026): according to a current German video review, “almost overshadowed by the Tinymight 2" – but there is no long-term experience yet.
• DynaVap M7: similarly fast, less vapour, butane instead of a battery. DynaVap M7 vs Tinymight 2.
• PAX Flow: according to Vapefully, it provides “gentler, smoother vapour”, but one UK retailer's review says it comes “nowhere near” the Tinymight 2 in vapour volume.
• Mad Heaters Tempest 2: butane ball vape, even faster and smoother – the Tinymight 2 is electric and more discreet. Tempest 2 vs Tinymight 2.

A good fit if you prioritise flavour over convenience, want On-Demand draws without waiting, consume several bowlfuls in succession (“moderate to heavy users"), enjoy tinkering with technology and already own a reliable second device. One German video review describes the effect as occurring “within an extremely short time", while one forum user sold the device because three draws lasted “for the entire evening" – it may be too much for occasional users.

Not a good fit if you want a beginner's device without a learning curve, need a display and degree-accurate adjustment, enjoy 10- to 15-minute Sessions, tend to drop things, have a sensitive throat or do not want to handle unprotected lithium cells. Vapefully: “The performance can overwhelm beginners"; 420 VapeZone: “Tinkerers love the Tinymight 2, but if you’re looking for something mindless, look elsewhere." VapeGuy's claim that the device is also suitable for newcomers contradicts every other reviewer.
