The entire vapor path of the Angus Enhanced is made from borosilicate glass. From the ruby beads upward, the vapor travels through a glass tube, passes through a glass insert, and reaches the glass mouthpiece. No silicone, no plastic, no metal in the air path.

Borosilicate glass is thermally stable beyond 500 °C, chemically inert, and flavor-neutral. Compared to vapor paths made of stainless steel or ceramic, glass contributes zero taste of its own. This matters most at lower temperatures around 160-175 °C, where delicate terpenes dominate the flavor profile.

The downside: glass is fragile. YllVape supplies replacement parts for all glass components, and most retailers carry replacement kits. For transport, a padded case is recommended -- the Angus Enhanced with its walnut body and glass parts is more of a home device than a pocket companion.

Cleaning is easy: soak glass parts in isopropyl alcohol, rinse briefly, let dry. Residue comes off glass much more easily than off metal parts.

Compared to devices with sealed internal batteries, the 18650 system offers clear advantages in longevity: when capacity fades after several hundred charge cycles, new cells cost under 20 euros -- instead of replacing the entire device.

The Angus Enhanced is natively water pipe compatible. The glass mouthpiece can be replaced with a WPA (Water Pipe Adapter) that fits standard 14 mm and 18 mm joints. The combination of pure convection and water filtration delivers exceptionally clean, cool vapor.

Particularly at higher temperatures above 200 °C, routing the vapor through water makes a noticeable difference in comfort. The vapor is less harsh, the lungs are spared, and the flavor remains intact thanks to the all-glass vapor path.
