Storz & Bickel
Storz & Bickel is a German vaporizer manufacturer based in Tuttlingen, Black Forest region. Markus Storz and Jürgen Bickel founded the company in 2000, after Storz had been working on a hot-air vaporizer design since 1996. The result was the Volcano – the first desktop vaporizer with a balloon system, a device that reshaped the entire industry.
All devices are designed and manufactured at the Tuttlingen facility. Production involves over 100 steps with multiple quality checks. The Volcano Medic became the first vaporizer to receive medical device certification in 2009. The Mighty+ Medic carries the same certification.
The product range splits into two categories. The desktop line includes the Volcano Classic, the app-controlled Volcano Hybrid, and the Plenty whip vaporizer. The portable line features the Mighty+, Crafty+, Venty, and Veazy. The Venty launched in 2023 as the first portable to deliver over 40 sessions per charge. The Veazy, introduced in 2024, uses the same hybrid heating system at half the price.
Storz & Bickel relies on hybrid heating: a combination of convection (hot air) and conduction (contact heat). This approach ensures consistent extraction from the first draw. Materials include medical-grade stainless steel, PEEK polymer, and ceramic heating elements – no adhesives anywhere in the vapor path.
