The DynaVap VapCap M 2021 is the classic — fully made from medical-grade stainless steel, practically indestructible, and the best-selling DynaVap of all time. No battery, no power, just a jet lighter and the click cap is all you need for a session. At 20 grams with the typical ribbed body, it sits non-slip in the hand. The Adjust-A-Bowl allows two fill sizes. The predecessor to the M7, still valued for its reliability. From around €59.
Build & Stainless Steel
Body, tip, condenser — all stainless steel. This makes the M 2021 extremely resistant to drops, scratches, and corrosion. The grooved body improves grip and prevents rolling on flat surfaces.
Weighs about 50 g, measures around 92 mm. Small enough for any pocket, heavy enough to feel solid.
Click-Cap & Heating
Like all DynaVap devices, it uses click-cap technology: heat the tip with a jet lighter until the cap clicks audibly — that's the signal to inhale. After cooling (5-8 seconds) it clicks again, ready for the next cycle.
Temperature varies with technique: heating closer to the cap end gives lighter vapor, closer to the tip gives denser clouds. Expect 3-5 heat cycles per fill. For a flameless alternative, induction heaters like the YLL 3.0 or the Ispire Wand work well.
Vapor Quality & Airflow
The M 2021 uses convection — hot air flows through the material during inhalation. The vapor path is short and direct. Flavor is clean and metallic, typical of stainless steel.
No airport, no airflow adjuster. Draw resistance is fixed and moderate. For many users that's a plus: no settings needed, works right away.
Chamber & Adjust-A-Bowl
The tip has no Adjust-A-Bowl — chamber holds about 0.1 g always. For smaller amounts, just fill less.
The M 2021 is not compatible with dosing capsules. Fill material directly into the tip, loosely packed.
Water Pipe Compatibility
The M 2021 has a 10mm fitting and connects directly to standard water pipes. Water-filtered vapor is cooler and smoother.
For 14mm bongs, use an adapter. The M 2021 + bubbler combo is popular — affordable entry with good vapor quality.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Brush the tip after each session. Weekly: disassemble tip, condenser, and cap, soak in isopropanol (90%+). Lubricate O-rings with DynaWax.
Don't soak the cap in iso — only the metal body. The click mechanism isn't damaged by moisture, but alcohol can affect the coating. Clean the cap separately with a dry cloth.
