Directly on the Bong: Water Pipe as Vapor Path
The Flip Brick is not a standalone vaporizer -- it is a water pipe attachment. The 18 mm joint fits most bongs and bubblers. A 14 mm adapter is available separately.
Vapor goes directly from the material through water filtration. This cools and moistens vapor far more than portable devices with mini bubblers. Full bong filtration makes even high-temperature draws at 210+ °C comfortable.
This concept combines the advantages of a butane vaporizer (on-demand, no electronics) with those of a water pipe (cooling, large draws). For users who already own a bong, the Flip Brick is an affordable entry into butane vaporization.
The chamber sits on top of the wood block. The glass tube directs the flame; vapor flows down through the 18 mm joint into the water.
Convection Heating and Flame Technique
The Flip Brick uses pure convection. A jet flame lighter is held into the upper glass tube. The flame does not touch the material -- instead, it heats the air flowing through the chamber.
Temperature control is fully manual: flame distance, angle, and draw strength determine the heat. Experienced users get thick vapor in 2-3 seconds. Beginners need 10-15 attempts to learn the technique.
Combustion risk is lower with convection than conduction but not zero. Too long a flame with a weak draw can still char the material. The glass tube provides visual feedback -- when vapor appears, the temperature is right.
